New Humanity in Christ

with Danny Dodd

Good Sunday morning Levy! As always I am extremely thankful to be able to worship with you. Praising God together is a God-designed blessed too good to miss. As always, your presence and participation is highly valued and appreciated.

We are glad to welcome two new members to Levy–Wes Bland and Evan Neumeier. Wes is a graduate student at UAMS. Evan works in IT. Both have already been worshipping with us for a few months. Please personally meet and greet them. We are glad you guys are here!

Both have already attended our Learning Levy orientation class—which is for new members and for those seeking to know more about our congregation. That class meets again today in the family room within the Ministry Center. Our new connections minister, Cecil May, is leading it. I urge anyone wanting to learn more about Levy and ways to plug in here to attend.

Today, we also officially welcome Joe Chesser as our family life minister. Joe and Sherry along with their sons, Max and Alex are already a vital and active part of the Levy family and Joe brings years of ministry experience to his new job (he just returned from leading a Levy trip to work in hurricane relief in Florida). He will be working with our young adults, small groups and leading the Congregational Encouragement Ministry. Please pray for him (and his family) as he begins this work with us.

Remember this is the last day to put forth a man to be considered in our deacon selection process. This is an important process for us-adding more men to serve us in special ways. Please keep praying for God to raise up these men among us—and keep praying for those already serving in this way. We are blessed at Levy by healthy leadership.

As we wind down the year and our year together reading the Bible—let’s finish strong! I continue to hear about how this discipline has benefitted those who have stayed with it. “Thy Word!” I thank God for his revealed word!

“Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness” (Hebrews 3:13). Sounds like needed biblical advice to me! Let’s practice it this week.

I love you church!
