Welcome to Levy! Thank you for joining us to worship the risen Savior on Easter Sunday! The resurrection of Jesus fuels every aspect of our Christian faith including the wonderful privilege of worshipping God together each Sunday. Praise is what the church is about. Your presence today is much appreciated.
“He has risen! He is not here” (Mark 16:6) are perhaps the most important words ever spoken. That is just how significant the resurrection of Christ is to us and to history. Without this incredible event our faith would be empty and meaningless (1 Corinthians 15:14). Today’s sermon will explore the undeniable place of the empty tomb to our faith and our hope.
Last Sunday, Cherrie Wiser, experienced her own personal resurrection as her husband, Kenneth, baptized her into Christ. What a sweet ceremony to witness as her faith led her to die to sin, be buried in Christ Jesus and be raised to begin her Christian journey. Please personally encourage her and Kenneth and pray daily for them.
At Levy this year we are reading the Bible together. It is our yearlong focus on “Thy Word.” We invite you to join us if you are not participating. Just pick up one of the reading plans and jump in. It is an exciting and informational experience!
Friend Day is coming in two weeks on Sunday, April 15th. Please pick up some invitations and give them to your friends. We need everyone committed to be here with a friend on this Sunday! Remember we also enjoy a terrific potluck after worship. Please make this a priority Sunday!
Another special day is our cardboard testimonial Sunday on April 29th. We still need participants. If you would like to be involved, please let me know. Thanks.
This weekend a large group of Levites participated in the Leadership Training for Christ Convention in Rogers, AR. Much time and energy by many were put into this wonderful event, which helps our kids discover their ministry gifts. A big thanks goes out to all of the adults who tirelessly worked with our kids over the last few months. You are much appreciated. They all did us proud! We have some great LTC kids!
